The Road goes ever on and on....

...Down from the door where it began.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

And I must follow, if I can,

Pursuing it with eager feet,

Until it joins some larger way

Where many paths and errands meet.

And whither then? I cannot say.

So sang Bilbo upon leaving the Shire! And it feels fitting to quote it now as I'm about to embark on another exciting adventure, which will take me to the heart of SE Asia and Middle Earth New Zealand. I will be accompanied by my trusty partner Frodo Gandalf Tom Bombadil Tom for the next three months, as we make our way through Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, New Zealand and the Cook Islands. Fingers crossed we won't get lost and/or kill each other. ;-)

As you can see, I have created yet another blog which, hopefully, I will be able to update with a bit more regularity and success than my last one. Poor HK. I spent 9 months in that amazing place, eating everything in sight, dancing like a loon, traipsing up hilltops and photographing buddhas, and all I did was bitch about it - not representative at all!!

So watch this space for tales of our wanderings and, no doubt, countless food updates complete with high-def close-up shots aimed to make your mouths water.

We'll be flying out on Thursday 2nd February and returning on Friday 4th May. Next stop: Bangkok!
